A curious boy discovers more than science in the waters off the Florida coast. What begins as a childhood fascination with dolphins evolves into something far deeper—learning to read their behavior, recognizing individuals by their unique markings and signature whistles, and slowly uncovering patterns that hint at something profound beneath the surface.
As the climate shifts and the oceans transform, an unlikely friendship forms between species. What begins as simple observation—watching, waiting, wondering—gradually deepens into something more. Caleb learns to identify individuals, then to anticipate their movements, and finally to recognize intention behind their actions. In time, the line between observer and participant begins to blur. What he discovers in those waters may one day reshape humanity's understanding of intelligence itself—and our place in the natural world.
